The Silver Spring-Takoma Tnunderbolts defeated the FCA Braves at Blair tonight, 14-10 in a slugfest featuring five home runs, numerous pitchers, balks, runner interference, and lots of action. The Bolts scored ten runs in the second inning, to spark their 14-run score.
Yash Rane (Jr, Lehigh) went five innings and got the win (1-0). Patrick Halligan (So, George Mason) took the loss for the Braves. The T-Bolts improved to 4-4, the Braves fell to 4-4. Daulton Martin and Tony Gallo hit back to back home runs for the T-Bolts. For the Braves, Marcos Pouljos, Ryan M. Davis, and Braden Odom homered.
We developed technical issues around 10 pm which prevented us from broadcasting. The issue was not with us but we think with one of our broadcast applications. There is literally not much we can do about it. So we are off the air. The T-Bolts are up 14-10; two down in the top of the ninth, two outs, nobody on.
The Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts (3-4) are vying to even up their record as they face the FCA Braves (4-3) tonight at Montgomery Blair Stadium.
The T-Bolts will send Yash Rane (Lehigh) to the mound after his scheduled start last night was thwarted by a weather cancellation. Rane comes into tonight’s game with a 6.75 ERA over 4 IP this season, all coming in the T-Bolts’ road victory over Bethesda last Friday.
The Braves, who also faced a weather cancellation last night, are yet to reveal their starting pitcher for tonight’s matchup.
There’s no shortage of familiarity between these two teams, as the T-Bolts and Braves have already squared off twice so far this season. The T-Bolts won the pair’s first meeting on June 6, while the Braves evened up the season series with a victory on June 8.
Tonight’s game will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on The T-Bolts Radio Network via tbolts.org/radio.
