MEET THE TEAM THAT BRINGS YOU THE T-BOLTS ON THE INTERNET
ANDREW RELVAS, BROADCASTER/MANAGER
Andrew comes to the Thunderbolts for his first season broadcasting play by play and analysis. Andrew hails from California and attends school at Miami University of Ohio where he has done sports broadcasting on radio and television. He began in high school and later called baseball games for the Orange County Riptide in the California Collegiate League. While in the Golden State, he also called water polo matches for a youth league in Southern California. Andrew also had stops in Cincinnati, Richmond, Indiana, and Wilmington, Ohio. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is a former Eagle Scout. He plans to graduate in May of 2026 with a degree in Journalism and Sports Communication and Media.
DYLAN SCHMIDT, GAME REPORTER
Dylan attends the University of Maryland where he has covered sports for the Testudo Times and Terrapin Sports Central. While at Maryland, he reported on women’s volleyball, lacrosse, and basketball. He also participated in reporting on men’s spring baseball. He began covering sports in high school with stories on golf, wrestling, and volleyball. He is a member of the University of Maryland’s Club Running Team and played travel soccer in high school. He was the Media Coordinator for his church’s social media accounts. Dylan plans to graduate in May of 2027 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from UM’s Merrill College of Journalism.
STEPHANIE MA, SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
Stephanie has combined computer technology with creativity to fashion a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Stevenson University. She expects to graduate in May of 2027. Her minors at Stevenson are Communications and Computer Information Systems. Stephanie has worked with the Stevenson University Athletic Communication Department and edits a podcast. For the Thunderbolts, Stephanie will focus on social media posts, particularly Instagram. This is her first season with the Thunderbolts and she plans to connect fans to the franchise through her online initiatives.
EVAN PAK, BROADCASTER
Evan began broadcasting baseball and softball this year at Marymount University. When he’s not covering sports, Evan is a varsity swimmer for Marymount where he was a 2025 Atlantic East Conference Champion, a member of the All-AEC First Team, and was also chosen for the All-AEC Academic Team. He is currently a swim coach with the Strathmore Bel Pre Dolphins in Silver Spring. Evan played two years of varsity baseball at Rockville High School and was also a four-year varsity swimmer. He played the trumpet in Rockville High’s Symphonic and Jazz Bands. He plans to graduate from Marymount in 2027 with a degree in Communications.
PATRICK MORAN, BROADCASTER/WRITER
Patrick is a rising senior at DeMatha Catholic High School with a strong sports background. He is part of the DeMatha Baseball program and has achieved numerous accomplishments in the sports journalism world, particularly hosting his own podcast, Beyond the Ballpark. He is in his third season with the Thunderbolts, having started out as a gameday intern. He worked last year as a music director and part-time color commentator and is now a full member of the broadcast and writing teams. He loves working with the Thunderbolts and is looking forward to staying with the team for as long as possible.
NEAL LAVON BROADCASTER/DIRECTOR OF MEDIA
Neal has been calling Thunderbolts games on and off for 18 years on internet radio, Takoma Park City TV, and talking about the T-Bolts on Takoma Park’s WOWD-FM. He manages the systems to broadcast all Thunderbolt regular season and playoff games both home and away, and did public address announcing for the Thunderbolts before moving into broadcasting. He also contributes to the Program, produces Gameday Rosters, and maintains the team’s website. Neal lives in Takoma Park, Maryland, not far from Blair Stadium. He retired from the Voice of America in 2014 after 35 years as an on-air host and writer.
